Statistical profiles of applicants and fellows.
In FY 1998, doubled the number of placement opportunities available to incoming Fellows as a result of improved relations with staff and principals of both the Executive Office of the President and Cabinet level agencies. Showcasing the Fellows to a broader range of agencies helps build a stronger case for placement while giving the Fellows unique exposure to the variety of work accomplished in the various departments and agencies they visit. In FY 1999-2000, work with the Office of Presidential Personnel, make changes in the composition of the Presidents Commission on White House Fellowships to increase diversity (and thus fairness in the selection process) and to encourage more participation of Commission members in the program. |
